  • How do you keep yourself occupied?

    Hey everyone

I was wondering what games you're all playing to pass the time as you wait for civ4? I am not a big gamer but all the anticipation for civ4 has brought me into the gaming world. I would like some game suggestions that can keep me occupied until civ4 comes out. Please don't suggest any of the previous civilizations or smac, played them already haha.

Well I got Sid's Pirates going, in large part to get a look at what the engine can do and found myself hopelessly addicted until I played the whole game through a couple of times. It's a bit repetitive, but it's meant to let you live the life of a pirate, which means "pillage, plunder, pillage, plunder, repeat." Good bit of fun, though

Civ3, of course. What an odd question...
      Seriously. Kung freaking fu.

Same here, trying my hand at my first ever 'Conquest of the Month'-on Emporer level no less (got royally thrashed by the computer, so am now just trying to develop my strategy).
When not doing that, I play 'Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds'-one of the best RTS games ever made, IMHO.

Nope, those are all excellent choices (with the possible exception of C&C Generals, but thats just IMO !)
Still think you should play more civ3 though

No way, I played PTW, but it became boring just so fast..

C&C Generals: Zero Hour is a nice RTS where you barely need to think and have nice sounds when someting hits dust.

Very good for letting your steam out after stressy day..

I own only a couple of other PC games, and for the past few months have not played any PC games.

Means your PS2 is really tired and feels old after a "few months" extensive use..

For the last couple of months I haven't really played much, except for GTA SA... the game was too short

I just installed BattleField 2 today, I doubt it'll hold my attention for very long since I'm not interested in spending money on it (not my type of game) so I can play online and offline gaming doesn't give you any options except for the map (but not the size of the map) and the diffeculty
This space is empty... or is it?

Yes I know that Civ3 is a great game, I played it A LOT over the past few years but I'm looking for something new until my next Civ frenzy. I'm interested in buying a game but not sure on what to buy, what would you all suggest?
