Actually, you know Rise of Legends? I've been writing all the graphic routines myself. Spare time you know. Visit the basement (at BHG!), say hey to my bros, toss back a diet Coke, whip up some visuals.

Soren, by the way, e-mails me the AI code for Civ 4 on a regular basis. I now have a build with something really cool: The computer sends massive amounts of settlers early on and builds right next to you. Awesome! Also, I'm going to make building on rivers give you insane bonuses. Just like real life. I'm telling you man, this is going to blow the lid off of Civ!

      It's all good.

        Ah,

My '1 gold' worth of wisdom...

MS rule about bugs (in Civ IV):

Quote: The number of bugs is inversely proportional to the time allowed to the beta testers* to play the game.

        * as Alexman, Arrian, Dominae, etc.

Question: you DID use beta testers, didn't you????

            Re: Take2 interactive:

AFAIK, their games are pretty solid out of the box and don't have dramatic bug problems. However, keep in mind that they just got hit with the whole GTA: San Andreas debacle, which is costing them millions of dollars. That could color their attitudes towards pushing Civ4 out the door ASAP, as well as towards how much they will devote to bug fixing.

                Does this still run?

I guess the one's responsible is on vacation or something.

It won't be perfect; By the second game I'll be making the easiest fix, adjusting the price of units, wonders and improvements to reflect reality. Early wonders often cost too much, submarines always are too expensive.

#3. every game is going to have its problems, but a game this epic will quickly be fized to complete perfection. Just a few more days and then its mine....all mine....
