Well, I made a little table of promotions to facilitate the guesses and speculations. Some of the unit promotions we know for sure from the video on Gamespot; most, we don't know. Or I don't know. Feel free to contribute here. I'll try to keep this updated.

Stars are experience, the rest are abilities. Kinda reminds me of Master of Magic.

What I got up here is taken straight from the Promotions Civilipedia page. The one that aren't blue I imagine are actions, not promotions, like the skull is disband, thingey with the flag is fortify, etc.

sword and shield...perhaps extra good in defense?
