  • Ressources' integration in civil economy

    In Civ3, you have 4 "oil" and 3 "iron", you use 1 of each and trade one elsewhere. Erm... This is not an intensive economy, and something got lost somewhere.

    Let's say you have 4 oil + 3 iron, then exchange 1 of each and use 1 of each. 2 oil + 1 iron is left:
    Be sure that it would not be kept secret for long and different interests would jump on the occasion!

    So you might wish to use it, exchange it, or get the civil bonus by letting it integrate the civil (individual) economy. Or maybe even stock it (and get nothing out of it until you use it... usual strategy).

    Exemples:
    iron+oil = cars, machines... more industrial production
    electronics = computers... more tech
    uranium = more nuclear centrals?
    rubber =... RUBBER DUCKIES!

    This could be put in bonus categories or something. A-B-C ressources for production, X-Y-Z for the other type of bonus, etc.

    Comments?

    PS: Knowing that there are over 30 ressources in Civ4, this seems to suddenly be of greater interest
    Go GalCiv, go! Go Society, go!
