    1. Propose technologies that we may have lose nowaday the secrets, what implies some invention in the designing of these technologies, especially in what they would allow like new domains of science, like the ability to transform lead into gold.

    2. Make a civ to be a coalition of many armies. There would have to be a high number of factions firstly, and then we would have to ally them to build a civilization, well, an army firstly.

    So: 1. abondance of techs and inventive techs
    2. Alliance system

    3. reconsider the fact that Civilization is a game for *****es and that this fact is realistic. Just admit that civilizations goals aren't automatically to conquer or destroy the other one, so there would have many ways to play civ, like just build its civ in the corner. Maybe to add funny features? Maybe like caravans, maybe those were one of a funny feature that was doing civ just a funny game. /funny and extensively experimental game can enter in conflict with the gameplay concept. well, the gameplay is really usefull only in difficult modes and particularly warry modes isn't it? or civ is a game that can be difficult without war? i doubt it. So what about to adapt the difficulty mode headings? Like very easy: 'Conceptual', easy: 'Free', normal: 'Pacifist', difficult: 'Warry', very difficult: 'Warmonger'. We should be able to do experimantal and funny things in lower difficulty mode more than in high ones, like to start discover more techs to do more experiences that would not be needed in higher difficulty modes.
