  • Helping the End Game - Kyoto Treaty

I am looking forward to Civ4. When I play all other versions of CIV I either dominate from the start or I am far behind at the end. To balance the game I would like to suggest a global treaty like the Kyoto Treaty. Nations which are ahead would see their production clamped down on and it would be more costly and take longer to build things. Nations that are far behind would see a relaxation in polution controls and could build things quicker and they would cost less. This would also help with an andvanced trade so textiles could be a major export from the weaker countires to the stronger countries. This way we could have scenerios like what we have today between China and the US. A floating currency system would also be nice. A strong economy has a strong dollar.

I shall refer you to the broader discussion pertaining to this issue :P

And I don't think that the Kyoto treaty or others got effects as pronounced.
Go GalCiv, go! Go Society, go!

This is the second dumbest suggestion I've seen on this forum. The dumbest was a Holocaust wonder for 'socialist' civs.

Why has the UK's economy grown by 30% since 1990, if adhering to the Kyoto protocols reduces production?
