So is Civ4 in production?

Are they trying to make us think it's not so that they can suprise us when we least expect it?

Or maybe it's not in production, they just don't know how to break it to us!?

Civ3 was officially announced in the spring of 1999 (after months, if not years, of unconfirmed rumours), but no real info about the game was released until early 2001, when it was only a few months away from completion.

Civ4 hasn't even really been officially announced yet, so it may be a while before we hear anything about it.
