  • Adjust religious effects according to government?

I think religious happy faces are a nonsense under Communism, and should hold more value in Fundamentalism than in Democracy - to please unhappy people in true democracy, more is needed than a cathedral. (Note that the militarist side is already accounted for)

Maybe this could lead to give religious treat to Civilizations (christian, muslim, polytheist, etc)?

Maybe this could add new diplomatic factors - christian countries would more willingly ally vs muslim nations?

... or would we be treading on so sensitive a ground it'd better be left out of the game?

I have no objections to including real world religions but Firaxis already demonstrated that they are ready to go very far to be politically correct, they excluded a couple features from Civ III with that aim. One was Fundamentalism govt. model, and I can't remember others ... anyone?

(So I am willing to bet there won't be named religions like Christian or Muslim in Civ IV)
