Yeah, I agree. The speed is shamely low as it is today, I'm afraid. And it definately doesn't have to be like that!

Nah, all that is needed is some clusters to run the game on and all will be fine

Gramphos, I have a P4 2 GHz processor with 512 MB RAM, and still I have to wait for ages between turns on the bigger maps. There is DEFINATELY room for improvement.

My computer is a few months old, and it is supposably "fast". For some reason, either Civ III enjoys making my computer go slower than a snail, or Civ III is slow.

Nah... it's already too fast. Who needs speed?

I'm reminded of the Simpson's episode in which the US Congress votes on a Bill titled "Flags for Orphans." Who can say no to that?

Speed is a BIG issue. THere is no cause for a machine over the specs of the game to choke on it.

I said you needed a cluster. that's at least three computers working together, but you would problably need at least 10 to make this game fast

If they can improve the speed AND include more features/capabilities AND I don't have to buy new hardware AND it's at a very low price AND multiplayer works great AND...AND...AND....

i still voted that i wanted it faster

ONLY after they actually get the good stuff in.

Minimum requirements are always, how should I put it...optimistic.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

minimum reqs are them saying "you can see the splash screen with this crappy system"
