  • Is Additional starting gold for a scenario possible?

    I am working on a few scenarios for myself, I am using World Builder, but am missing something. Can i "add" additional gold at start of game to either human or ai spots?

    Thanks in advance

    In a scenario file, gold is specified between BeginPlayer/EndPlayer blocks, as StartingGold, such as

    Code:
    BeginPlayer
      Team=0
      LeaderType = LEADER_MONTEZUMA
      LeaderName = Monty-Nutty
      ....
      StartingGold = 1000
      ....
    EndPlayer
    Sorry, I don't really use the WB to edit scenarios, editing text is directly for that... but I guess it'd be available as an option in WB from the edit city mode. I can recall edit city mode allowing you to specify the amount of gold.

          Just checking back, can you or cant you add more than 5000 gold per turn?

          I was thinking like if I wanted to give a civ 10,000 gold is it possible?

          I could do it on consecutive turns but was hoping I could do this on one turn

            In the WorldBuilder, I never had problems giving larger sums of money.

              Thanks, I tried, I entered 5000 gold and hit enter
              saved the gold
              but when other (higher amounts) were, it kicked em back to the 5K

              Ill try again though

              Thanks again

                I'm fairly sure it was possible in the edit city screen, though.

                  Thanks

                  That where I did it, you know you could put a huge amount in that window, just wouldnt save it. I will play around to see if it was the "way" I saved it.

                  I will try again
