Just wanted to see if you have had a chace to see the SMAC mod work so far.

We would love to get your feedback and help, and even join us modding civ4 and resurrecting the alpha centauri game.

it doesn't say anything about being cancelled. because of conjecture I guess evwryone assumed it was offcial.

if we do have a problem with legal issues I don't have a problem with negotiating for the license or failing that we can change the content... but it will be in the same spirit.

I have tried several times to cntact the current license holders with no response their part. so I will leave it up to them to get back to me

Project was not cancelled and it was never announced that it was being stopped because of legal issues. It just suffered a development hiatus.

Until EA (licence owners) threatens with legal action, work will continue.
