  • Is there an editor?

I just got Civ4, and I can't find the editor, like in Civ3.
I'm fearing the worst at this moment, but I still hope that there is an editor with the game, and I just can't find it.

I need to rename a Civ, plus several buildings and units, to get it to play like I had Civ3. I don't want to add anything new, just rename a few things.

    Thanks.

There's no such editor as there was in civ3. There's the worldbuilder in-game for making maps, but for editing stuff like you want, you'll need to get your hands dirty in the xml files. But don't worry, xml files are plain text and easily readable.

The xml files which contain the names are contained in the folder: Civ4\Assets\XML\Texts\

Open one in notepad, you'll see what I mean.

      Thanks.
      I really apreciate it.
I'm going into it right now.

Has anyone made a graphical tool to modify the XML files yet? (something similar to a Civ3 editor?)
