Hello.
im about to learn some modding and attempt to make a mod which simply replaces the Civ4 civilisations with the factions of Alpha Centuri and maybe a re-organisation of the tech-tree.
and i thought id just ask if anyone else had done so already, in which case i would just download theirs and not try the modding yet.

There was a project under way to do make a mod that would do this, but the last I heard about it there were legal obstacles to it.

i thought that a way to get around the legal issue would be that the soundfiles would be on the SMAC cd and would be needed to install the mod so that you would need the cd to use the mod, but im not sure if that could be done.
