How Do I mod leaders?

I want my leader to be Philisophical/Spiritual and i want to be japanese. how do I mod tokugawa? or is that not possible?

XML files, again try Modding Wiki, that'll have all the info that you want. Otherwise, open(I do wordpad, maybe Notepad?) get to Sid Meier's Civilization 4, open Assests, XML, Civilizations, Open CIV4LeaderHeadInfo, search for Tok, and then, if you keep scrolling, you will find the traits, To make sure you don't make an error, I suggest copying and pasting the traits you want from another leader...
