  • Runtime changing of player colors

So my co-worker today mentions that she plays Civ4, and loves it, but wishes she could choose the color scheme of her civ (i suppose just primary/secondary color) when she starts a new game.

Now, I could give her XML files modded with whatever color she desired, but I think she wants a popup during civ creation (or perhaps at completion of the pre-game stuff?), ie at runtime.

I'm not seeing anything in the docs similar to setPlayerColor ... anyone have any ideas here? (And what exactly to set my hook at - during civ creation, or just at the start of 4000 bc?)

That would require modding the SDK and even then it could be a bit of work.

Ah well, thanks. I may just make a bunch of color-mods instead, or just one for quaintness' sake.
