  • Play civ-4 on a laptop

I would like to play civ-4 on a laptop that has no CD drive. I can install it via a network drive but is there a way to play since normally the CD has to be put into the drive to start the game. Is there some way around that? (The laptop doesn't have a floppy drive either.)

    1) Yes it is possible
    2) No we cannot tell you how to do it or where to look for how to do it
    3) You can find out pretty easily via Google

Giving you a hint, doing it that way you won't have to buy it at all. But why doesn't your laptop have a CD Drive?

I would assume that he has one of those super-thin ones that have the floppy and CD drives as external units.

What a stupid invention. Well anyway, if you can install it through an external drive then you can download a NoCD patch. I can't tell you where to get them though, that's probabally against the rules.

Or, if you want to do it the honest way, you could try this link

In the Netherlands you're allowed to make a copy of software you bought and put it on you computer for your own use (this means no sharing). Maybe you can look what the laws in your country tell about a non-sharing copy on your hdd?
