After reading a thread about about changing the farm-yield with technology, I decided to go another way. The reason is that I feel one full food extra for a farm is a little to much.
I have three different proposals:
1:
Either market, grocer, or supermarket, will increase the total food-output of a city by +25%.
2:
Each of market, grocer, and supermarket will increase the city's food output by +10% up to a total of +30%.
3:
One of the above buildings will add +1 food to the merchant specialist.
What do you think?
The attached file contains three versions of CIV4BuildingInfos.xml
CIV4BuildingInfos_market.xml - Market adds +25% food
CIV4BuildingInfos_multi.xml - Market, Grocer, Supermarket each adds +10%
CIV4BuildingInfos_specialist.xml - Market adds +1 food to merchants.
The files goes into "....\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\CustomAssets\xml\buildings\" To try it, rename one of them to CIV4BuildingInfos.xml, and start a new game.
Just a note: do not try using this on an existing game, as it will have quite unexpected effects on cities where the buildings have already been built.
