Taking a map out of a scenario?

I posted this earlier in General, but didn't get any responses. Figured I'd might here.

I'm in love with the Map of Planet, but its in a scenario. I'd like to be able to select that map myself, and adjust the game options in a custom game. I opened the Worldbuilder, but I didn't notice any way to save the map that way.

In the world builder, there is an option to save your game.

In the upper right-hand box, on the top row there will an icon to SaveGame. You can save your game into the Public Maps folder, then you can select that map when starting a new game.

I couldn't get it to show up in the Custom Game options though, so there must be some trick to that part of it.
