  • Request mod - diplomacy with eliminated civs

    Would it be possible to make a mod that would keep diplomacy with eliminated civs (score = 0 ) civs still working, in some form or another?


    My goal is to open a trade table with them and gift them a city to bring them back into the game.

    Currently, the only way to do this is to open world builder, give the eliminated civ at least one unit *anywhere* and then they are back in the game (score > 0 ) and i can gift them cities.


    The purpose of the mod would be to bypass the world builder so i don't reveal the map to myself.

    maybe an event where if the last city is killed a unit is created in the capitol of a friendly civ? not sure if its doable though...

      Look at CvForeignAdvisor.py. There are lots of checks of isAlive() there when it's deciding what civilizations to display. By stripping those out you could presumably make it leave all dead civs in too.
