Making Largest Playable Map Help Please 1-3-2006

I would like to ask as simple a question as possible:

Is there a workable shortcut to making the largest playable map for single player without having to go through a long list of reading material?

I want a GIGANTIC MAP, actually 2, one with all land and one with water to navigate to distant shores.

Thanks in advance, didnt know if someone had done one out here and I simply missed it.

Um, does your system play the random huge and terra maps well? You could always check out FexFX's mod for a randomly generated big map..

no problem

after posting I though about it, actually I woul d need to slow down years per turn among several things to offset the larger map size

only thing I didnt care for was the very slow production in his maps on the 1200 turns

Hmm.. I saw a utility for changing game dynamics like turns and production speeds somewhere.. lets see if I can find it.

yeah, was only on page 2 gamespeed tuner

Use that with whatever giant map you want and fine tune tech rates etc..
