All I want is a map builder !

This is insane - I want a map editor tool. The World builder is for scenarios.

The only way I can create a map is to start a freaking game - basculate into the world builder and start editing the map (by the way there is a serious bug with changing the land into oceans - it makes big black spot on the map and the former land is still visible in the globe view).

But I'm stuck with the freaking civs that got generated by the cpu before I entered in the World builder ? I didnt find a tool to just erase all civ and units and to put starting locations... Its just insane - I cant even chose my maps in the load game menu after I created it ? I'M just fuming !

Use the BMP to WBS (world builder save) converter (topped thread in this forum) to make your map as detailed as possible.

Then after you can open up the WBS with notepad (or any text editor) and edit a lot of things, like starting positions, delete/add/change civs, techs, cities, resources etc.

If you put your WBS in ...Sid Meier's Civilization 4\PublicMaps folder youll be able to load it from the play scenario menu.
