can some one help me out with this editor. all i want to do is some simple things like change some units attack points, change some civilization's names, maybe try to mess with some of the governments but i cant seem to figure out how. all these things were so simple on civ 3 that im thinking i must be missing something very easy. a little help would be greatly apprieciated.

There is no such editor for Civ4. You need to edit the XML files in the Assets\XML folder with any editor - Notepad or some special XML editor.

If all you want to change is unit stats, then Civ4UnitInfos.xml will do that. Most of info about civs is in Civ4LeaderHeadInfos.xml .

            This file: \XML\Terrain\CIV4TerrainInfos.xml

Scroll down to your desired terrain (e.g. TERRAIN_PLAINS). There are values like this:

            Yields
            iYield 1 iYield
            iYield 1 iYield
            iYield 0 iYield
            /Yields
            RiverYieldChange
            iYield 0 iYield
            iYield 0 iYield
            iYield 1 iYield
            /RiverYieldChange

Yields is for how much food, production, and commerce are the base values for that terrain type. From scanning the info, it looks like the first value is for Food, the second value for Hammers (Shields), and the third value for Commerce (Gold).

And, then of course, under RiverYield are these bonus values next to rivers.

thank you it work perfectly. would you know how to add different bonouses to terrain, like adding horses to desert and gems to grassland. i tried going to bonousinfos and adding the terrain to terrainbooleans, but i got all kinds of errors.

(also i would like to add thanks for the great tutorial for adding units in civ3!)
