Questioning King Philip as a Great General

Hello guys,

I am wondering how come King Philip can appear as a great general for the colonial forces.

For the record during Metacom's Rebellion, the leader of native Americans was Metacomet or Metacom, or Pometacom, and was known to the English as "King Philip."
