How do you make artillery?

So in my last game, I actually got a Magazine built, which I hadnt bothered with in my first games, and it still wouldnt let me build Artillery.

Am I missing something?

Do you need something besides a Magazine to build one?

Only Europe can build artillery; there are unique units for each of the European kings.

Then why when I read the description for Magazine (or whatever it is), it says "required for Cannon/Artillery". Is this another bug?

If the King captures the town, they can build artillery (but not cannon) at the magazine.

It sounds like theres really no reason to build Arsenal's then, unless you want to do a favor for your former King.

Arsenals produce more guns per tool. Guns are the currency of freedom and revolution. Guns are good, so arsenals are good.

Never build your weapons town coastal. Always inland so the REF has to walk through the minutemen filled jungles.

Thanks for the answers guys, I was also confused by the fact that the Magazine said it allowed you to build artillery.
