I've been playing for about two days and finally got the hang of the economy stuff. In my current game I am rolling in dough with a bunch of ships constantly shuttling back and forth with Europe selling full loads of goods comprised of coats, cloth, rum, cigars, and silver.
Since it seems like generating the liberty bells is what makes the King jack up the taxes, I didn't generate any liberty bells until my economy was full steam. Right now I have 3 elder statesmen in all of my cities town hall with printing press + newspaper. The REF is growing massively because of all the liberty bells I'm cranking out now, and I'm pumping out soldiers at a huge rate to keep up. But my revolution percentage seems stuck at 44%.
I can't generate any more bells (like I said, there are 3 elder statesmen in every city with newspapers) but the revolution slider hasn't moved in ages. I'm producing several soldiers a turn at this point trying to keep up with the REF and nothing is happening. How do I get the slider to 50%? Should I not be building so many soldiers? I've got something like 80 soldiers to the REFs 120 at this point.
I swear the slider actually moved backwards a couple turns ago.
