Trade with Indians

I am trying to figure out how to trade with Indians. They all seem to want only guns, or rarely, horses. They aren't interested in trade goods. Any recommendations? What am I missing? I remember in the original they always wanted one trade good and two others to a lesser extent.

Has that been changed? How do I find out what the Indians want besides trial and error?

On the settlement name plate on the map is a circle on the right with the item icon they want. Load a wagon train (or boat) move onto the settlement square and click the trade icon ($ sign).

Thanks. I see that now. I zoomed in. But they all want guns, except for one rum and one horse. Are they always like that or do they ever want other things?

Early on they want guns/rum/horses. It changes eventually.

It would be so great if there was an easy way to know their trade demands without eagle-eyeing the event summaries log.

Am I missing something?
