Moving partial stacks?

What do I press to move less than a full stack of 100 horses (or what have you?) I've read the whole tips menu in the game and I didn't see it!

edt: forget it, somethings funny with my game and the shift-click doesn't consistently work

Yeah you can, you must have pressed the shift before you clicked, and hold it until you unclick. And it works 8 times out of 10 haha

For me it works fine so far, you should shift-click on the resource icon, when you're dragging it you may release shift - it will work anyway. BTW i'm using windowed mode. Maybe it's bugged in full screen only or something like that?

Yea its not as smooth as I would have liked it, something to do with how the engine records the shift key status I wasn't able to figure out. So long as you follow the "Shift first" strategy you should be ok. Hopefully splitting cargo will be very very rare, only place I ever do it is to buy guns in Europe when I can only afford/ only need 50.

It's necessary for moving tools, most commonly, when you need 25 tools in one place but still need some tools elsewhere

I can confirm, it worked for me last night.
