Anywho, I don't like the fact that we're seeing the same three screenshots in all articles about this and that none of those screenshots include the interface.

That's pretty normal for the first round of preview articles, actually.

Indeed. It isn't like they are going to be releasing 100 screenshots on the day of announcement. This is just to whet our appetites.

I suppose. I think I'm just reacting to the fact that we only found out about the game ~6 months before release. I feel like we've usually soaked up significantly more information about a game by this time in the development cycle.

There is six screenshots out there, and IIRC one of them have part of the interface.

I saw 3 other shots that looked like they were concept artwork, but not sure if they were actually for CivBE or just some random stuff someone on the internet thought would look good on a CivBE announcement.
