I have a huge territory and only 3 lux. Nature of the map. The wine comes from Rome, who have been declaring war off and on since the ancient era. This game was loaded with backstabs, and no trade agreement can be trusted. So take away 2 happy and 3 martial law, that would be republic during war.

Maps are sometimes strange. In my present game there are only 2 gems, which I get after a war against Egypt. My direct rival, Persia, has a huge territory and no oil. In fact my territory is just a little bit larger but I am the only one civ to have oil. Imagine what it means for wars during Modern Era

On a real world map. I was at peace with everybody (despite having an agressive past), and Bismarck sneak attacked me.

Here's the result after pulling some strings. I guess he regretted it pretty soon

It was too expansive to convince her. Besides, most European Civs were slightly less advanced than me, so I could pay them with techs. Cathy was as advanced as me.

All 3 German cities fell in 5 turns or something like that

I think the aircraft carrier is from The Great War. As many other ships, in WWII they weren´t made of wood anymore.

Sadly, there are not. Apprently, they have aired the interesting news tidbit, but nothing interesting or new on their website.

It seems we have quite the same strategy on this point.

Actually I do not make alliances to win the war against my first enemy, but to avoid my enemy making alliances with the others against me, which could finally hurt me.

I did a swordman rush against germany in my current game. After taking two cities and destroying one he was willing to give me everything(5 techs, some gold, one city and world map) for peace.

I am soo glad he accepted, if he sent his army after me i'd be toast

The scariest bit is the spearman protecting it

Isn't this last 7/7/2 samurai rather the "king" in that senario. Ie the unit that was supposed to upgrade itself when you got certain advances and which you wouldn't be allowed to lose. I think that I could rise to 11/11/3 in the end.
