    What do you drive?

I drive a '99 Dodge Stratus, with 83+k miles on it. My wife's ride is a 2001 Isuzu Rodeo, with 8k miles on it. She loves her car... adores it really. Nothing fancy about either car (except the extended warranty (10/120,000 on all components) for the Rodeo), but I am thinking about getting an XM radio for my car.

Both cars are paid off, by the way. Paid for the Rodeo in cash. Sweeeeet.

    So, what is your ride?

I don't have a car either. I walk everywhere I need to get to onpost, and get rides with friends if I need to go off post. In korea, I'll have even less need for a car. I'll probably get a car when I get BACK from korea, in a year or two.

I used to drive Wartburg limousine 1.3 (petrol, not oil!), with 180k on it.

the car spent too much fuel, so I use the trams and buses now

2000 Honda Civic EX with about 16k miles on it. Nice car, good gas mileage and good power (it's fun to out-accelerate Ford Mustangs and the like at stoplights).

    Manual transmission, of course...

I take the bus to school and work since it's cheap & easy for me.

When I drive my parents' cars it's a 1998 Toyota Camry LE (fully loaded), and as of 3 weeks from now a 2003 Toyota Highlander Limited (fully loaded).

Got great deals with both, since we get Fleet Price at Toyota dealerships through my dad's work.

Oh, and paid for it in cash. Much like the house.

I drive our 1998 4door Honda Civic-- its not that fast but its good on gas and we have had no problems with it-- A second vehicle won't be in the cards until we start a family

My wife cares about cars more than me-- I figure if it is reliable, thats all we need

I usually get the bus or walk. Occasionally I use taxis, but they're too expensive to use often.

'94 Geo Metro, gets 40-50 MPG. I'm going to need a new car in a couple of years, and I don't know what I'll do; they don't make the Metro anymore, and there doesn't seem to be anything else that gets anywhere near the gas mileage unless I pay close to $20K.

Why do you act like you accomplished something? Sound like a spoiled little rich boy.
And don't mention the engine sludge problems with the Highlander...might upset Daddy.

I have one of these, Sport Edition (hood scoop, contoured seats, premium wheels, rear heater, etc.) in black.
It gets lousy mileage and I did NOT pay cash for it.

1997 Peugeot 106 1124cc...now got 71k on the clock due to the hefty amount of driving I do. Just about behaving itself but the fuel supply seems to be intermittantly dodgy.

Nothing - work is only 15 minutes' walk away, and shopping is only ten minutes away.

A car would be nothing but expensive hassle.

No offense Sneak, but you're a car salesman.

We've heard about the engine sludge problems, and we also found out it's a problem with the 1MZ V-6 engines produced between July 1996 and July 2001.

As you have probably figured out, the 2003 models do not use those engines.

    Thanks for playing, though.

It warms my heart (and wallet) to see so many Toyota owners here. Aside from the Highlander (snicker, snicker) they make a great car!
