Minor annoyances with Microprose patch

When I install the patch (patch 3 - 5.4.0f) it makes Civ II more annoying. First, it makes this casualty timeline window pop up after every turn with carnage. That bugs me, but I can put up with it. But here's the clincher: it plays the WONDER BUILDING SONG. Deeeh di di di di di deeeh Now THAT is annoying. Is there anyway to turn off that box????

I think the latest patch included a "suppress casuality timeline" option.Either in game options or multiplay options.

I often wander off to la-la land between turns so that herald of wonder completion is useful to me.Not sure if it can be turned off or not

Where do you get these patches? There don't appear to be MP Update patches on this site.
