If it isn't freezer burned, roasts, steaks etc will last about 1 1/2 years. Ground beef will last about 6 months. I'm related to beef cattle producers, and a butcher.

I don't remember the specifics but I continued to bet into the summer. Once the losses started to mount, I doubled up to make up for it. I ended up out nearly $10K. This is my third tax year using the capital loss deduction and I still have some to carryover for next year.
