Well, not being able to punch it with 4 tries from the 1 is pretty pathetic.

Giants defense is back. Deangelo Williams 3.9 ypc, Stewart 2.8 ypc. Shutting down the run and Matt Moore is getting destroyed.

If Detroit's winning TD is negated, a terrible miscarriage of justice has occurred.

Unbelievable. The Bears escape with a totally undeserved win. It's hard to count the number ways in which Lovie, Cutler and the rest of the offense tried to give this away. Not to mention the shell defense employed on the last drive.

This play should result in a rule change. I'm a big Bears fan but, frankly, Detroit got robbed. Bigtime.

I couldn't see the Bears-Lions game but Bears waaaay outgained the Lions (463 yards to 168).

Schaub only passes for 107 yards and the Texans upset the Colts.

Exactly. I mean I didn't see the game, but it's clear from the stat-line that the Bears way outplayed the Lions. Fumbles were the only reason why the Bears didn't blow out the Lions.

True. But ball security is Job One, and the Bears were epic fail with 4 TOs. All the yards in the world mean squat if you don't hang onto the rock.

I don't know... The Giants had 4 turnovers (3 interceptions, 1 fumble plus a safety so really 5 turnovers) against the Panthers but still killed them. You can recover from turnovers if your team is just that much better and the Bears showed they are that much better than the Lions.

amazing INT by Charles Woodson. Make sure you check that out on the highlight reels (assuming the challenge doesn't overturn it)

I haven't seen the replay yet, but everything I've read seems to indicate that the Lions just got ****ed straight up the ass.

    Color me shocked.

I don't see what the issue is. Johnson, palming the ball with arm extended, put it on the ground and dropped it. Doesn't matter that he was getting up; on a pass, the rule is you have to keep possession all the way to the ground, and he didn't.

Stupid on his part, really. He could have tucked it away.

    fun fact...

Who has more catches so far?
Desean Jackson or backup Center/Guard Mike McGlynn?

Also, first half Philadelphia Eagles passing yards... Seven yards.

So you're saying it was the right decision to bench Kolb today?

Ah well. He was worth a shot.

I'm not saying the call was technically incorrect. I'm saying that any rule that produces such an obviously unjust result needs to be re-examined.

Please note: I'm a Bears fan.

    Oh holy ****.

    I just saw the replay.

He got three feet inbounds, then a knee, then his left hand hit out of bounds, and then he set the ball down on turf.

That is a touchdown by any and every defintion of rules. That was an even worse call than I was expecting, and remember, I'm a Lions fan, so I expect the worst as a genetic trait.

That is just... I just... oh holy ****, what the **** is with the Lions? Seriously? Did Bobby Layne spit on a gypsy witch or something back in the 50s? What the **** is going here?
