Who here thinks that Poly was starting to get more civil in recent months?

That was before the defectors got bored with their new site and started posting back here more...

Seriously, for a few months I actually noticed a thawing of relations between the posters who remained loyal to Poly. It was almost as if we were emerging from under the dark cloud of disruptive and contrary posters...

People were praising each other, arguments less partisan - that sort of thing.

However, recently, things seem to be sliding back to their bad old ways...

I noticed nothing of the sort. If anything, Asher and KH got more concentrated in their bile for a little while there.

KH is the same as he's always been. Consistently arrogant. That MOBIUS even brings up such a subject is amusing though.

aside from ben dropping the soap now and again, things have been a little more sedate than usual.

It was definitely becoming more civil. Things were getting so nice that KH and I were forced to call each other tards for lack of suitable targets for our bitter misanthropy.

Though the sea appears calm, We must continue to be on guard for racism, especially among Australian posters (I believe krazyhorse is Australian, if not it is the English major who flips pizza and pays people to pubish his memoir about said pizza flipping).

No, most threads steadily degenerate into flames now, which get boring with too few ******* posters to take part in them, so they try to compensate for that with rudeness.

I think it was a bit more civil, but mainly because the bitter arguments about bannings are a thing of the past. They tended to be the worst ones. Also Ben vs Asher seems to have calmed somewhat.

Somewhat more civil in that few are left that challenge the KH-Drake-Asher triumvirate groupthink, but when it does happen a good heap of bile is poured on that poster.

It took them forever to figure out NGR's true identity. "Drake", despite some bone-headed background details, was a much better deception.

It's not groupthink. I'm pretty sure we all disagree on many things. We've even debated them here recently.
