The best way I can describe civ4 is running a race knee deep in mud. A fact which has made civ4players ladder (a terrible ladder which only makes an already bad game worse) nothing but MP games. The duel is dead in civ4 already. Compare that with civ2 which thrived off of it and its MP lasted far longer. Civ4 is basically Deity from civ2 on steroids with a really really bad combat system.

He hasn't liked Civ4 since I beat the crap out of him twice in a row in the very first MP games I played.
