Enjoy Slurm - it's highly addictive!

ahh but he is away![]()

back...![]()

If I get the turn, just put me on freeze time until tomorrow evening, when I should be back at a computer with C3C installed...
You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.
Rommel, my point was that at least two of us were on vacation, and thus it was simply a case of who went first in the turn order that decided whose freeze time was used.
Besides, I sent you instructions on how to play my turn ...

Sorry, if I'd had a spare half hour myself I'd have looked into it further. If you want it played for sure next time (you do have plenty of freeze time left), leave something in this thread saying so- if Theseus sent me a copy of the turn, it was mixed up with the IC2test save I get from him...Originally posted by snoopy369

That's where I suggested you play the save ... as you said, i presumably have plenty of freeze time left.
Regardless, I think you should re-evaluate 'freeze time' over common vacations and/or any other time when multiple people are gone. Half of the players of this game were gone for the period that I was gone ... Krill and Stenz, anyway, in addition to me. Were it to matter, I think that should not count against any of our freeze times ...

Yes, I had just looked at that post- it was made well before this last absence and says "if he would like to play some of the turns for me he can". I'm saying if you would like the turn played instead of using freeze time, say so in your last post before departing.
I've standardized the freeze time in an effort to keep games consistantly paced among all of the preliminary games, not just within this one. And it isn't turn order that determines who takes the time hit so much as it is a matter of who leaves on vacation first...

Sigh ... i tried to make it clear, maybe i didn't, but i had already departed when i made that post (or was about to). It was a two week vacation, but i had some ability to play during the vacation (but only some).
I understand freeze time, but it's unreasonable when 3 of the 5 players are away to penalize only one of them. This isn't such a big endeavour that you can't have a reasonable amount of flexibility, Rommel; it's 4 games of 5 players each, not a massive tournament of hundreds of players. Only theseus and paddy could have played the save ... so none of us, really, were holding up the save (or 3 of us equally, for nearly the entire period).
Anyway, whatever. If it becomes relevant later on, then i'm going to argue it some more, but i don't plan on any large absences ...

After a little system crash yesterday evening I lost all saved turns. So if krill needs a resend I need one too...
That means snoopy needs to resend 3600 to ss, I believe.
