    How are you fulfilling your patriotic duty to consume ad nauseam?

    Right now I'm watching Person of Interest (a season behind) and reading Eureka: Discovering Your Inner Scientist.

    I'm quite enjoying Person of Interest. It has enough meditation on AI/privacy/surveillance/future stuff to keep it from being just another crime drama, but not so much that it becomes overly polemical or caught up in navel-gazing.

    Eureka is some light history/philosophy of science from one of my favorite science bloggers, Chad Orzel. I'm a big fan of his writing, because he goes to great pains not to sacrifice accuracy for narrative, and he's also pretty self-aware.

    What about the good folks of Apolyton?

    Just got through Game of Thrones season 2 again. Might start watching the second season of Twin Peaks.

    Reading a combination of about 3 WWI/WWII books I got for Christmas.

      I am flying/driving to an from various company meetings where I will pontificate for a few minutes and then buy copious amounts of food and drink.

        I find I don't seem to consume all that much. I just seem to work and pay taxes to support the rest of you dead beats.

              i'm currently reading all history stuff, acquired second hand and very inexpensively near caricoa metrô station.

              the war of the roses - by desmond seward: as the name suggests a history of the war of the roses, told partly through the eyes of five characters from the time. it's alright, not great though.

              os arménios - by sirarpie der neressian: a history of armenia from ancient to early modern times, including large sections on architecture and art. it's a translation from an english original and very interesting.

              la societé français depuis cent ans: quelques salons du second empire - by victor du bled: a book, written in 1923, which looks at french society at that time. i've only just started it, but it looks promising so far.

                  To be fair to pchang, you're the one that boasts more about your job than he does...

                  Of course, I've been known to boast about my job too: the 10 minute commute; the massive amount of holidays I get; that I only work part-time...

                              I just finished the whole series that Leviathan Wakes is a part of. Do you read it in English or have they translated it to Greek?
