I am trying to use the new Rise of Nations Gold Edition for Macintosh, but without success. I installed it yesterday on my iBook G4 (1 Ghz; 768 mb RAM; Logitech 2-button mouse with trackpad disabled; Mac OS 10.3.7). Installation apparently went off without a hitch. Startup moved along as expected, including creation of a player name, until I hit the main menu. At that point the game stopped recognizing the mouse (at least that's what I'm assuming happened). The screen didn't freeze, the cursor continued to respond to the mouse, but clicking on the various options resulted in no response. I've tried this multiple times, clicking on a different option each time, without success. Unfortunately, I'm also prevented from doing a force-quit, so that I'm required to restart after each failure. I've also tried reintalling the game, without it making any difference. I'm stumped--I've never had a problem remotely like this with any other game, including Microsoft games like Age of Empires. Any help you can provide would be appreciated.
