User Defined Planet Classification

Ok i try to think of myself as not a ****** here.
I bought the strategy guide too in case i was missing something. But it says go into the planet classifications tab in the planet window and then you change change one of the user defined 1-5 into your own custom name. Which is awesome but HOW do i do it, i've tried clicking then typing which one time resulted in a damn directx cant display surface error and the rest of the times it doesnt work.


So what am i missing??
