Over the period March 15th-22nd, 2006, those who contribute to discussions about GalCivII on Apolyton's forums can earn one to three points for letting their keyboard do the talking.
To participate, users first register for a free forum account and then post their uestions or comments in one of the three GalCivII forums on Apolyton depending upon its topic. The prize table does not end with Stardock! The first place participant will also receive a lifetime subscription to ApolytonPLUS (PLUS), ACS' optional subscription service. Additionally a three-year subscription will be awarded to the participant with the second most number of points, two-years for third place, and one-year for both fourth and fifth place participants. These prizes from ACS alone are worth an average of $260US in total; further, users not in the top five with 1-9 points apiece will receive that many number of months subscribed to PLUS. That's a maximum value of $18US per eligible participant ($12US for six and $6US for three more months).
By participating users agree that, if eligible for a prize from Stardock, they will disclose within 72 hours of winning notification their name, email and mailing addresses and primary telephone number to Stardock through Apolyton for purposes of shipping and handling. Failure to do so within the time period requested will result in the automatic forfeiture of their prize. Whether or not a particular post is eligible for a number of points, and if so the number of points awarded, is at the sole discretion of the Apolyton administration. These decisions are non-negotiable. ACS staff are not eligible to participate.
