Can anyone who played hellgate london spoil it for me please?

I played through the end of the museam level then quit when it became apparent the game was repetative and boring.

But I still want to understand the story!

So, can anyone fill me in on what there was of a "plot" for the rest of the game? I saw the end cgi on youtube but I did not understand it, proboably because I missed roughly half the game.
