I am running MacOS 10.2.6.
I download the apple beta 3 X11
I installed fink and finkcommander.
I installed freeciv. I got:
Reading Package Lists...
Building Dependency Tree...
The following NEW packages will be installed:
freeciv
0 packages upgraded, 1 newly installed, 0 to remove and 9 not upgraded.
Need to get 0B/5653kB of archives. After unpacking 0B will be used.
Selecting previously deselected package freeciv.
(Reading database ... 6378 files and directories currently installed.)
Unpacking freeciv (from .../freeciv_1.14.0-3_darwin-powerpc.deb) ...
Setting up freeciv (1.14.0-3) ...
I typed in freeclient in the x11 window. I got up the window asking for a connection to a server.
I want to play against the AI.
How do I play against the AI on the Mac.
I tried starting the server, but got...
mac% civserver
dyld: civserver version mismatch for library: /usr/lib/libncurses.5.dylib (compatibility version of user: 6.0.0 greater than library's version: 5.0.0)
Trace/BPT trap
I am very new to UNIX and X11, so be complete on any instructions.
Thanks
Robert
