True Colors
Lady Skye stepped down from the slightly raised holostage and walked out of the imaging and transmitting area. Methodically she removed her Unity Mission pin and her rather formal dress jacket, which bore a striking resemblance to what were called the 'Light Blues' aboard Unity at its dedication ceremony.
"Transmission complete, Dee," Shannon Lindly stated, taping a few more times on her console. "We're receiving Lal's transmission now."
Shannon smiled.
"Just as promised. He's transmitting the specifications for Biogenetics, and a draft of a friendship treaty." Shannon looked up at Dee, who was still removing her outer garments and laying them on a nearby chair. "Shall we transmit our findings on Centauri Ecology?"
"Of course. We wouldn't want Pravin to think we were false, now would we," Dee responded dryly.
Both of Shannon's eyebrows went up and her smile turned into a grin.
Dee finished and now put on her new outfit. It didn't take long. As she walked toward the holostage she fastened a silver cross around her neck, which was brilliant against her muted orange vestment-style pants suit.
Shannon tapped a couple more commands into her console.
"Channel open…now."
Standing in the center of the holo imager, Dee steepled her index fingers and smiled beatifically.
"Sister Miriam, it is good to see you again. I greet you in the name of God…"
