Anti-Trump dossier author was hired to help Hillary challenge 2016 election results

British ex-spy Christopher Steele, who wrote the Democrat-financed anti-Trump dossier, said in a court case that he was hired by a Democratic law firm in preparation for Hillary Clinton challenging the results of the 2016 presidential election.

He said the law firm Perkins Coie wanted to be in a position to contest the results based on evidence he unearthed on the Trump campaign conspiring with Moscow on election interference.

One of the most prominent allegations in the Steele dossier is that Michael Cohen visited Prague during the 2016 campaign to pay off Russia-linked hackers who stole emails from Democrats — the claim fueled speculation ever since the dossier was published that the Trump campaign actively colluded with Russians to influence the election.

But according to a top national security reporter for The Washington Post, FBI and CIA sources told reporters for the newspaper they doubt the allegations, which British spy Christopher Steele leveled.

“We’ve talked to sources at the FBI and the CIA and elsewhere — they don’t believe that ever happened,” Greg Miller, a two-time Pulitzer Prize winning reporter, said at an event in October that aired Saturday on C-SPAN.

WaPo has not reported that bombshell information, and Miller himself did not reveal the detail in his recent book, “The Apprentice: Trump, Russia, and the Subversion of American Democracy.” It is unclear why.

The filing, one day ahead of Tuesday's planned sentencing hearing for Flynn, came shortly after U.S. District Judge Emmet G. Sullivan issued an order Monday requiring that prosecutors publicly turn over the document.

If you read the 302 it's obvious that Flynn doesn't remember AND he had many many phone calls during that time period. The FBI had transcripts of all of his conversations. All they had to do is get him to answer something that he didn't remember and call that a lie. That's what you people call a lie? That's what you people approve of by the FBI?

The FBI/government has tapes that he talked to the Russians and Flynn admitted he talked to the Russians about retaliation and not condemning Israel.

In the document he lies and says that he didn't talk to the Russians about retaliation and about 'not doing something'.

The tapes were heard by people both in the WH and the Post. I do not know if you can listen to the tapes, however, Flynn has admitted to both talking to the Russians about retaliation/etc and to lying to the FBI so I am a bit confused about what you believe happened. Do you believe there are no tapes?

Judge Emmet Sullivan, in charge of sentencing Flynn, spent around 15 minutes lambasting Trump’s former national security adviser, telling Flynn that “arguably, you sold your country out” and expressing “disgust” and “disdain”, at his offences.
“You were an unregistered agent of a foreign country while serving as the National Security Adviser to the president of the United States,” Vox reporter Andrew Prokop quoted Sullivan as saying.
“Arguably this undermines everything this flag over here stands for.”

Steele said under oath that the purpose of the dossier was to get information on Trump to challenge the outcome of the election in the case that she lost.

Bottom line: Flynn cooperated and got zero jail time.

This whole "what about the 302" thing is just another nothingburger being thrown out there in hopes of hurting the investigation.
