There are some companies that provide forwarding services: the store ships to their American address using a virtual pobox number, they process the package and ship it to you whatever way you want. You also get to declare the value of the package yourself, so it can sneak under the customs radar.
I've been taking a close look at shipito.com, as I want to buy a Kindle DX and some lenses, but I'm not sure if it is the best alternative.
Do any of you non-Americans have any experience with such services? If you do, what's your advice?
