Robertson looks like a shoo-in to win the mayor's seat over Ladner. Not sure how the rest of the council will look but I'm hoping the NPA members on the Parks Board get turfed for their boneheaded decision to cut down 70 trees in QE Park to restore the view of downtown. Yeah, just what everyone wants, to look at a mediocre skyline instead of mature trees. There's also the matter of the Hollow Tree in Stanley Park that they voted to try and preserve. Pull the thing down and let it rot already. There's more than enough places for the camera clicking hordes to have their pictures taken.
So anyway, I'll be working as a registration clerk that day. It promises to be 12 hours of tedium, but hey, I'll be making $260. My buddy is the PEO so it should be easy to go for a smoke break once in a while. Hopefully I'll be working with a hot chick, but I'll probably get some fat old lady.
