  • Roman Legion in Spain&their province

Hey, people, I'm looking for some info on the VII Gemina that was stationed near Lucus Augusti (Legio). According to a map of mine, it wasn't directly in Tarraconensis, but it doesen't say any name.
How long was it there? Was it engaged in any battle during that time?
Furthermore, can somebody here tell me what hispanic provinces ran over to Albinus in AD 197, and what happened to them after his death?
    Waku?
    Thanks.

      Thanks!
You.... won't necessarily find a couple of links about Gaius Pescennius Niger and D. Clodius Albinus (other than http://myron.sjsu.edu/romeweb/empcont/empcont.htm), would you?

I believe Legio VII Gemina originated the city of Leon (which is a corruption of Legio, nothing to do with the animal). Leon is close to Lucus Augusta (today, Lugo).

So, if Waku's links did not satisfy you, I would conduct a search on the city of Leon, Authonomous Community of Castille-Leon. You should be able to find plenty info about the founders of leon!
