  • Kyokujitsu music question (concerning format)... all opinions welcome

Well I've found a way to make the download for Kyokujitsu a lot smaller. It involves transforming the soundtrack into .mp3 format (not playable within civ2, but on a seperate program that can que and repeat tracks). I just need to know how many people have at least the following to be able to use TOT and MP3 at the same time with little let down in performance:

(Minimum suggested for tracks + game)

    200 MHz Processor
    64MB RAM

The tracks will be optional if you have less, but I'm curious to see if it's worth it (since the music would help a lot with the atmosphere).

From what I understand of that Civ game of yours, it's all about launching one's own spaceship before the others do. So this is no big news after all: my father just beat you all to the stars once more. - Philippe Baise

      I've got 300mhz processor
      32 megs of RAM

Are you sure 64 is needed to play TOT and MP3 at the same time?

Might have the tendancy to skip... not sure though. An .mp3 needs to "unzip" to play. It would have to swap to your HD once your physical memory ran out.
