very interesting so far (im upto 1534 - just before the anglican church event). Quite different from GC. England seems to be fairly tough to play (though i continue to make some silly mistakes - like not grabbing a decent peace in a war where im not the alliance leader, trying for more, and getting betrayed once again by the alliance leader)
England is not in real strong position techwise at the beginning, and its taking forever to go up one level of infra. Spain and France start out very strong, and one must be very careful. Only get two explorers (the Cabots) and must use them carefully.
Big white blob pretty weak here. Austria managed to lose all its low country provinces, mainly to France. Lost Milan to France. Struggling to keep some north german provinces from big Bremen and Mecklenburg. At one point Austria was down to well, just Austria - now theyve inherited Bohemia, and still seem pretty hemmed in. Of course this may change when they inherit Hungary - though OE looks in better position than in my GC game, and they still have to face a super strong France.
Denmark has also been very strong.
Note - for those checking out "After thoughts on Whither Spain" thats done now.
