I had dune 2 for some time, but I couldn't get into it. I felt like I was missing something basic.
this was something of a shame, since many mags consider dune 2 one of the best games ever made.

then I installed the aoe2 trial, and ran through the tutorial. all of a sudden I understood! I went back to dune 2 and am having a blast!!

one question. what is a "tank rush" that I hear so much about?

I was just about to point out that Horsie is simply making excuses in advance for why he will suck at Civ III...

Tank Rush is a tactic whereby you concentrate most of your money into buying the most bangs-for-bucks vehicle available, ammass hundreds of the damn things (ignoring any other units) and pour over your enemy's base en masse. In many games, the most effective way to win a battle, though hardly very fun.
